Hey friends, how are you? We have some exciting news - we're starting a monthly creative challenge, beginning today!
Personally, I love a cardmaking challenge because they tend to push me outside of my comfort zone and get me creating things that I might not have come up with otherwise. Some of my challenge cards have ended up being my favourite cards of all time!
So, we thought it would be good to share the inspiration, and each month, we will be setting a challenge brief - perhaps a card sketch, a colour palette or a theme - and you will have the whole month to come up with your project(s)!
Here's the idea:
- Create a new project (it can be a card, scrapbook layout, mixed media project or anything else your crafty heart desires) that fits with the month's theme;
- You can use any brands you love;
- Enter the challenge by uploading your project to that month's Facebook album (on the Craft & Connect Facebook page - here) or by posting it on Instagram with the hashtag #craftandconnectchallenge
- Each month, the challenge will be open from the date the challenge is posted (which should be the 1st of the month) until 5pm (UK time) on the final day of the month;
- Winners will be picked at random, and will have the opportunity to guest design for a future challenge;
- Winners will receive a prize, which will be set out with the details of that month's challenge.
If you use the hashtag #craftandconnectchallenge you will also have the opportunity to be featured in our Stories!

April's Challenge
Now - who's ready for the first challenge? For April, our theme will be "Spring". Let your creativity run wild - we have created a mood board to help inspire you. Feel free to use / be inspired by the colour scheme, images or general theme - and we can't wait to see what you create!
This month's winner will receive a £20 gift card to My Perfect Stamp and will be featured in next month's challenge announcement!
