Hey friends, how are you? Have you had chance to get crafty and take part in this month’s Craft & Connect Challenge yet?
The theme this month is super simple to take part in – it’s simply to SHOP YOUR STASH! Make any kind of card, papercraft or other handmade project featuring one or more items already in your craft stash, and you’ll be in with a chance of winning an awesome prize – a place on our upcoming virtual class “Maximise your Supplies with Erica Andersson”, taking place on 15th September! Included with the prize is the stamp & coordinating die set that will feature in the class – the awesome Work of Art set from Avery Elle!
Emma has made this super cool card to help inspire you this month:
Emma combined a mix of old and new products for her card – she used the new balloon stencil from Concord and 9th, with older supplies from her stash – all of which are listed below.
Instructions:
- Ink blend a light blue ink through the balloon stencil (a light application!). Emma used Altenew ink cubes.
- Shift the stencil so the balloons are offset, and apply a darker blue.
- Stamp, colour and fussy cut the rays from Avery Elle’s CelebRAYtion stamp set. Emma used Promarkers in Cool Grey 1, 2 and 4. Add some highlights using white gel pen.
- Pop up the rays with some foam tape or foam squares and add to the background
- Stamp the sentiment on to white card stock and fussy cut
- Use a blender brush or foam tool to apply blue ink around the edge of the sentiment and add this to the card with foam tape or foam squares.
- Add the card panel on to a teal note card.
- Finally, add some clear enamel dots.
